Ledgr ("we", "us") is an AI receipt scanning app operated by FocusOnU Growth Consulting in Abuja, Nigeria, available at useledgr.com.ng. This policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, and the choices you have. We handle personal data in line with the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023.
Information we collect
- Account details: your name, email address and password (stored securely, never readable by us).
- Receipts you upload: the images or PDFs you upload, and the details read from them, such as business names, dates, items, amounts and payment methods.
- Chat messages: the questions you ask Ledgr's AI assistant and its answers, so it can remember the conversation.
- Google connection: if you connect Google, your Google email address and an access token that lets Ledgr create and update sheets for you.
- Subscription details: your plan, monthly usage counts (receipts read and AI questions asked) and a Paystack customer reference. We never see or store your card or bank details; Paystack handles payments.
How we use your information
- To read your receipts and show the extracted details to you.
- To save your receipts to Google Sheets when you ask us to.
- To answer your questions about your own receipts.
- To run your account, apply plan limits and process subscriptions.
- To keep Ledgr secure and fix problems.
We do not sell your data, and we do not use your receipts for advertising. Please also read our Terms of Service.
Google user data
Ledgr requests the drive.file permission, which only allows access to files Ledgr creates or that you open with Ledgr. Ledgr cannot see, read or change any other files in your Google Drive. We use this access only to create Google Sheets for you and add the receipts you choose to send. We also read your Google email address to show which account is connected.
Ledgr's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Google user data is not used to train AI models, is not sold, and is not shared except as needed to provide the features you use.
Service providers we use
- Supabase: secure database, file storage and sign-in.
- OpenAI and Anthropic: AI models that read your receipts and answer your questions. Receipt contents are sent to them only to process your request.
- Google: Google Sheets, when you connect your account.
- Paystack: subscription payments.
- Netlify: website hosting.
These providers may process data outside Nigeria. We choose providers with strong security practices.
How we protect your data
Every account can only access its own receipts, chats and sheets. Receipt files are stored privately and are only viewable through short-lived links when you are signed in. Google access tokens are stored on our servers and are never sent to your browser. All connections use encryption (HTTPS).
Keeping and deleting your data
We keep your data while your account is active. You can disconnect Google at any time from the account menu in Ledgr, or by removing Ledgr in your Google Account settings. To delete your account and all your receipts, email us and we will do it within 30 days. Sheets already saved in your Google Drive belong to you and stay there unless you delete them.

You can ask to see, correct, export or delete your personal data, or object to how we use it. Contact us using the details below.
Children
Ledgr is meant for businesses and is not intended for anyone under 18.
Changes to this policy
If we make important changes, we will update the date at the top of this page and let users know in the app.
